Tani Adewumi, the pre-teen chess prodigy who fled Nigeria with his family after receiving threats from Boko Haram terrorists, has been granted asylum in the United States.
The Adewumis first applied for asylum in 2019 with the help of a lawyer, but a second legal team from a NYC law firm joined the case pro bono.
